ATTAHK
2008 – Present
I have done freelance art direction (including graphic design, typography, illustration and motion graphics) for a wide range of clients, ranging from small businesses and independent musicians to gigantic brands and corporations like Google and Facebook. I am comfortable seeing projects from concept through to completion, working as a part of any size of team, or leading said team. I have worked on a wide variety of projects spanning from print and branding projects to motion graphics and feature film work.
Buck
2015 – 2016
I was "permalance" at Buck for a while, working mostly on a large design/illustration project, but also on a range of other pitches and advertisements.
Advantek
2014 – 2017
At Advantek I was responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and evolving the brand’s image and iterating it into every bit of printed ephemera they needed, which included, but was de nitely not limited to: packaging, catalogs, B2B materials, trade show materials and advertisements.
BandMerch
2012 – 2013
At BandMerch I was responsible for creating cutting edge graphics for music industry clients, positioning bands, festivals, and performances as cultural innovators while maintaining their strong, individual, brands. I was originally brought in to assist while the Art Director was on sabbatical.
Beautiful/Decay
2006 – 2008
As soon as I was brought on to the Beautiful/Decay team, I worked with the publication’s Founder/Creative Director to completely re-brand the organiztion from the ground up. Not only was I responsible for art direction and design of Beautiful/Decay magazine, their website, advertorials with brand partners, and all branding and advertising for the company, but also all branding and clothing designs for the Beautiful/Decay and Aya Kato clothing lines. In addition I contributed to the magazine and its weblog.
Flaunt Magazine
2005 – 2006
As the Design Intern at Flaunt I gained valuable experience into the inner workings of a major fashion/culture magazine and as well as doing the little things to help everything run smoothly, I got the chance to contribute to the design of the magazine.
